What items do you buy?
We welcome a wide range of valuable, unwanted and inherited items — modern, vintage, antique, broken or simply no longer needed. We buy jewellery, watches, coins, bullion, silverware, precious metals, militaria and selected antiques, including pieces set with precious or semi-precious stones such as diamonds. Every item is considered with care, so even if you're unsure of its value, bring it in for a friendly, no-obligation assessment.
How are your prices so good?
We're able to offer highly competitive prices because we work on relatively small margins and turn our inventory over quickly. For items with strong potential saleability we can often pay higher premiums than many traditional buyers, because we look to retail suitable pieces directly through our own outlets and other sales channels rather than simply selling them on to the trade.
That lets us recognise and pay for the additional value in desirable, saleable items, while avoiding the large commissions and fees often associated with auction houses and other selling routes.
Do you buy broken or damaged items?
Yes — broken, scrap, or damaged jewellery and watches are perfectly acceptable. We value precious metals by their actual content using XRF testing, so condition doesn't affect the metal value. Watches are assessed individually based on brand, model, and potential for repair.
I'm not sure what my item is — can I still bring it?
Absolutely. Our team regularly identifies pieces that sellers assumed were worthless as genuine precious metals or valuable antiques. If in doubt, bring it along — there's no obligation and no appointment needed.
How do you determine the value of my items?
We use different methods depending on the type of item. Gold, silver and platinum are tested with our XRF analyser to accurately determine precious metal content. We then assess whether your piece has additional resale value beyond its metal content, including the premium it may achieve through our retail outlet based on its design, maker, condition, age, desirability and current market demand.
Watches are assessed on brand, model, condition, originality and market demand. Coins are valued on both their precious metal content and any additional numismatic or collectible value. Art, antiques and collectibles are researched for provenance, rarity, desirability and comparable recent auction and market results.
Will you just melt my jewellery down?
Wherever possible we look to preserve, restore and give jewellery a new lease of life. We have a highly skilled in-house workshop that regularly repairs and restores broken or worn pieces so they can be enjoyed again.
Melting is always our last option and is generally reserved for pieces genuinely beyond repair or with little potential for reuse. Even then nothing is wasted — the precious metal is refined and recycled into grain or bullion, ready to be used again.
Why don't you buy costume jewellery or plated items?
Most costume jewellery and plated items have limited resale value. Costume jewellery is often mass-produced, while plated pieces contain only a very small amount of precious metal, so in most cases there isn't enough underlying value or demand for us to buy them.
There are exceptions — certain vintage, signed or designer costume jewellery — so we're always happy to take a look if you're unsure. Bring it in and we'll test it for free, or send us a photo on WhatsApp.
Do I need documentation or receipts?
No. While original boxes, papers, and certificates can increase value (especially for watches), they're not required. We can authenticate and assess items without any documentation.
