Is there any obligation to sell?
None whatsoever. Our valuations are completely free and without obligation. Many people visit simply to learn what their items are worth, even if they're not ready to sell.
How do I get paid?
If you're happy with our offer, we pay instantly by bank transfer — usually within minutes. The funds clear the same day. No cheques or delayed payments.
Will I get a fair price, or will you lowball me?
We use professional XRF testing to determine the exact precious metal content, then base our offer on live market prices. You'll see the results on screen and we'll explain exactly how we reached the figure — complete transparency.
How are you different from a pawnbroker or cash-for-gold shop?
We're specialist precious metal buyers with over 150 years of combined experience. We use refinery-grade XRF technology, pay above melt value for quality pieces, and there are never any hidden fees or deductions.
What if I just want to know what something is worth?
That's perfectly fine. Many visitors come purely out of curiosity. We'll give you a full valuation and a written quote to take away — no strings attached.
Do you only buy jewellery and watches?
No — we buy all gold and silver items including coins, bullion, silverware, dental gold, and scrap. If it contains precious metal, we're interested. Not sure what you have? Bring it along or send us a photo on WhatsApp.
What items don't you buy?
As a rule we don't buy items with no precious metal content — most costume jewellery, base metal coins, and pieces made from stainless steel, copper or ceramics. The exception is vintage, signed or designer costume jewellery, which can carry value in its own right, so if you're unsure we're always happy to take a look.
How are your prices so good?
We're able to offer highly competitive prices because we work on relatively small margins and turn our inventory over quickly. For items with strong potential saleability we can often pay higher premiums than many traditional buyers, because we look to retail suitable pieces directly through our own outlets and other sales channels rather than simply selling them on to the trade.
That lets us recognise and pay for the additional value in desirable, saleable items, while avoiding the large commissions and fees often associated with auction houses and other selling routes.
